Event Date: 18th October 2009
Participants: Jenny Smith, and Scooby Doo.
----------------------------
Well, I did it! 3 miles walking in Sherdley Park, Merseyside yesterday with Avril (my friend) and her dog Gracie. I took Scooby Doo courtesy of my Grandsons, George, Harry and Joshua. My dog Ben does not get on well with other big dogs, so I left him snoozing on the sofa.
So far I have raised £90.00 and so I would like to say a big THANK - YOU to all of you who have been so generous. It's not too late if you feel you would like to make a donation, just let me know a.s.a.p.
We had great fun, I have never seen so many dogs in my life! They were all shapes and sizes, including 5 Rotties who were very well behaved, rescue greyhounds and just about every breed you can imagine. It was the Jack Russells as always who were the most vocal, but there were no altercations.
We were all given a goody bag which included gifts for our dogs (neck-scarves and reflective collars for the winter nights) and warm hats for the walkers which were very acceptable as it was very cold.
Scooby Doo was the only toy dog we saw and we were asked to pose for a photograph by one of the organisers, so we might appear on the web site, so look out!
